Tips and Tricks

Text Catalyst is a truly native macOS app. So it also comes with some features that are not instantly visible.

Main Window

Main window is where your manage clipboard histories and snippets. You can:

  • Click the type icon to Quick Look content.
  • Double-click to copy histories with type text, image, color, and data.
  • Double-click to open histories with type link and file.
  • ⌘ + Double-click to copy histories with type link and file.

Paste List

Paste List is where you find and paste your clipboard history. You can:

  • Press ⌘ K to switch between histories and snippets.
  • By default Paste List pastes clipboard history in the original format. You can press ⇧ / ⌥ / ⌘ + Return to paste as plain text.
  • Press numeral key 1–9 to paste the corresponding entry from the paste list. When searching, press ⌘ + 1–9 to paste.

Paste Stack

Paste Stack stacks up your clipboard history and lets you paste them one by one later. You can:

  • Hold ⇧ / ⌘ to select multiple entries. Right-click to paste them all at once.
  • ⌥–click to paste as plain text.
