Tips and Tricks

Text Catalyst follows macOS conventions — so many familiar Mac habits work here too. A few you might not have discovered:

Main Window

Manage your clipboard history and snippets here.

  • Click a history item’s type icon to preview it.
  • Double-click any text, image, color, or data item to copy it.
  • Double-click a link or file to open it — or ⌘ + double-click to copy it instead.

Paste List

Find and paste anything, all from the keyboard.

  • ⇧ ⏎ pastes as plain text. (⌥ ⏎ and ⇥ work too.)
  • ⌘ O opens the selected link or file.
  • ⌘ ⏎ reveals the selected item in the main window.

Paste Stack

Queue up items now, paste them later.

  • Hold ⇧ or ⌘ while clicking to select multiple items, then right-click to paste them all at once.
  • ⌥-click an item to paste it as plain text.
