Tips and Tricks
Text Catalyst is a truly native macOS app. So it also comes with some features that are not instantly visible.
Main Window
The main window is where you manage clipboard history and snippets. You can:
- Click the type icon to preview the history item.
- Double-click to copy text, image, color, and data items.
- Double-click to open link and file items.
- ⌘ + double-click to copy link and file items.
Paste List
Paste List is where you find and paste clipboard history and snippets. You can:
- Press ⌘ K to switch between history and snippets.
- Press ⌘ O to open the selected link or file.
- Press ⌘ Return to show the selected history item in the main window.
- Press ⇧ Return or ⌥ Return to paste as plain text.
- Press Tab to paste the selected history item or snippet.
- Press ⌘ F to search.
Paste Stack
Paste Stack lets you queue clipboard history items and paste them one by one later. You can:
- Hold ⇧ or ⌘ to select multiple items, then right-click to paste them all at once.
- Option-click an item to paste it as plain text.
